About Michael Darlington
Michael Darlington is a London-based backend engineer and agent architect working across cloud platforms, event-driven systems, developer tooling and AI agents.
Work
Michael designs and builds production systems where reliability, clarity and long-term maintainability matter. His experience spans automotive payments, fintech, banking platforms, education and regulated software, using TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, .NET, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and serverless infrastructure.
Recent work focuses on agent infrastructure: transparent memory, bounded tools, approval-aware actions and interfaces that remain useful to both people and software agents.
This site
Darlington.dev is a public portfolio and the public front door to a private Personal OS. The visual Compass links to career history, active systems and writing. Equivalent semantic HTML and a public JSON API are provided for accessibility, search engines and agents.
The Personal OS is single-user. Its health, finance, investments, calendar, habits, goals, memories and Kai conversations are private, require owner authentication and are never included in public APIs or agent discovery documents.
